Only Fans has been a very popular content creator website over the last few years. It was initially made for creators to get people to subscribe to their content. Quickly though, people began to make the website known for sexual content, where people show off nudity, for monthly subscription fees.
Now, OF is deciding to bar this type of content from being posted, according to Bloomberg.com. This is happening due to “mounting pressure from banking partners and payment providers.” OF is seeking outside investors to put in $1 billion into the website.
“In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of our platform, and continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines,” OnlyFans said.
Some nude photos and videos could be allowed, The focus now is to promote people such as musicians, fitness instructors and chefs. As expected, Twitter had some thoughts about this latest news, as they feel bad for many people who are in sex work.
