Thus far, Shyne (Xzibit) has had the Lyon family’s number. The secret he held over Lucious’ (Terrence Howard) head led to him being invited to Hakeem’s (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) wedding. Since then, Shine has been working with Hakeem and acting like he owns Empire.

After Nessa (Sierra McClain) saved Jamal’s (Jussie Smollett) performance for Lucious’ launch, she looked like Empire’s next star. In tonight’s episode, Hakeem worked to make it happen. But, Shyne flipped the script.

Later, Andre (Trai Byers) had a very flirty encounter with Nessa, where he told her to own what she does. This angered Shyne, who decided he would go after Andre, but he and Lucious put an epic beating on his tail. Given his bully status, this was the one that Twitter was waiting for, so they celebrated this one.
