Two men involved in Montgomery Brawl turned themselves in
On Sunday, the Montgomery Brawl went viral, and has changed the course of everything. Whatever was going to be major news is now on the backburner. Meanwhile, people have turned folding chairs into jokes and weapons. One person posted a video of themselves holding a foldout chair with a beam on it. As the world takes in the jokes, the people involved are facing real charges. Two of the men who jumped the guard have decided to turn themselves in.
For those who may have missed it, a man was working at the riverboat in Montgomery, Alabama. There were a group of people docking and the guard asked them to move their boat. The guard was doing his job, making sure the ferry had a place to dock. This was the intended spot for the ferry and not for these people’s boat. Despite this, the people on the boat began to beat the security guard, who was a Black man. However, other Black people saw what was going on and swam up to help them.
In Montgomery, Alabama, what began as a group of White people jumping a Black man changed. A large number of other Black people jumped in, or swam in, to help. As a result, they won. However, many are upset because even the people who tried to help are facing charges. The people who actually caused the fight are now doing the right thing, though. Two of the men who actually were jumping the guard have now taken themselves into police custody.
