Tyla to release self-titled debut album in March 2024

Tyla has been experiencing a massive amount of breakout success in 2023, as a result of her “Water” single. This was initially released in the summer, and soared to even bigger popularity in October, after the visuals were revealed. Moreover, two new remixes of it were released in November as well, which featured Travis Scott and Marshmello. Water is also nominated for a 2024 Grammy, in the category of Best African Music Performance.

Meanwhile, Tyla also dropped off three new singles, on December 1. These are Butterflies,” “On And On,” and “Truth Or Die.” Therefore, these will all appear on the South African native’s upcoming self-titled debut studio album.

Currently, this album is scheduled to be released on March 1, 2024. Furthermore, pre-sale options on streaming platforms are also currently available. Prior to the release of these three new singles, Tyla revealed on social media, that she has been working on this project for over two years now.

“Everything that’s happening has surpassed anything I could have dreamt of,” said Tyla on Instagram. “African music is going global and I’m so blessed to be one of the artists pushing the culture. I’ve been working on my sound for 2 years now and I’m so ready for the world to hear it. I cannot wait for the world to experience an African Popstar. Go wild, Tygers.”
