The show would become a cult classic and Tyler is forever known to the world as ‘Chris.’ However, the young man has resurfaced on “Abbott Elementary,” where he is playing a teacher. In addition, he has a cool day job as a freestyle rapper. Eight years ago, Williams’ freestyle prowess was put on the map.

Tyler James Williams has found himself somewhat typecast, due to his role on “Everybody Hates Chris.” Portraying a young Chris Rock, Williams played the role of a bullied nerd convincingly. As a result, in subsequent acting roles, Williams’ characters were often faced with “Everybody Hates Chris” jokes on social media. Infamously, when Tyler James Williams had a cameo on “The Walking Dead,” the “Everybody Hates Chris” theme music played, as his character passed away. However, Williams earned many cool points, when he went on “Sway In The Morning” and did the freestyle over Drake’s “6 God.”

Tyler James Williams appeared on “Sway In The Morning,” earlier this week. When he returned to the station, he was there to talk with Sway about season two of “Abbott Elementary.” However, Sway is known for getting people to freestyle when they do his show. So, when Tyler James Williams made his return, of course people thought about his 2014 freestyle on “Sway In The Morning.” As a result, Sway had Tyler come in and do it again. This time, he delivered a freestyle over GloRilla and Cardi B’s single, “Tomorrow 2.”
