Tyrese talks “Shame,” being overlooked by pop music, and Sanaa Lathan with Hot 97 [VIDEO]

Albums will officially be released on Fridays instead of Tuesdays, from here on out. Among the first artists to officially participate in this new release schedule is Tyrese, who did it independently. The past decade plus has seen him as more of an actor than a singer, anyway.

But, Tyrese’s passion is music, so he returned to the music industry for one more album. The new album is Black Rose, which dropped this morning at midnight. Before the album, Tyrese had two singles doing well, “Shame” and “Dumb Shit,” featuring Snoop Dogg.

Tyrese paid a visit to Hot 97, when he was in New York City. Ebro handled this one solo, as Tyrese discussed the “Shame” single, Chris Brown and Usher, getting overlooked by the masses, Janelle Monae, and Ryan Seacrest. As open as he was, Tyrese ducked the topic of Sanaa Lathan.
