Usher is the ultimate entertainer and has proven to have true staying power. Until this past year, it was close to seven years since he last had a radio hit. When he signed on to do the Las Vegas residency, that was a telltale sign that his career was over. Instead, Usher has turned things up to the next level. Not only has the residency done him well, but also, it’s reintroduced him to the masses. His most recent performance saw him take the internet with his dancing.
Usher actually is celebrating thirty years in the game. The singer is an Atlanta legend and he has a historic partnership with Jermaine Dupri. In 1993, he released his debut album, which was considered by most to be a failure. Four years later, in 1997, he returned with his breakthrough album, and that’s the one that launched all of his hit records. However, another four years would pass before Usher returned with another album. There was a chance he could have been a one album wonder.
Usher normally releases albums every two to four years. Normally, when he drops, he keeps enough hit records out there to keep the people held down. On his albums, Usher always showcases his vocal range without effort. Also, his videos and performances show how well of a dancer that he is. During his most recent Las Vegas performance, Usher brought the house down. This time, he didn’t need a famous woman to serenade. All he needed was to show his skills on that dance floor.
