Usher reveals neck injury and postpones first three shows of tour
On Wednesday, Usher delivered disappointing news that he had to postpone the opening night of his Past, Present, Future Tour, that night. That was supposed to kick off in his hometown of Atlanta, inside State Farm Arena. Moreover, the R&B legend explained how health concerns were an issue.
Meanwhile, Usher has explained what exact health issues caused the concert postponement. On Thursday afternoon, he revealed that he suffered an injury to his neck while rehearsing. Usher added that he hoped that physical therapy and medical treatment would clear him by opening night, but that didn’t end up being the case.
As a result, the August 14, 16 and 17 shows in Atlanta have now been rescheduled. Therefore, the new dates are set for December 9, 10 and 12. Usher is looking to officially kick off the tour on August 20, in Washington, D.C.
Usher has had a massive 2024 so far, as he performed at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. Moreover, he also dropped his “Coming Home” album, that weekend. That project contained 20 songs, including collaborations with H.E.R., Summer Walker, 21 Savage, Burna Boy, and more. Adding to that excitement, that same weekend, he revealed that he got married to his longtime girlfriend, as well.
