Usher sees 550% increase in Spotify streams after Super Bowl

Last weekend, Usher delivered an all-time great Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, in Las Vegas. He was initially announced as the headliner last fall, and certainly didn’t disappoint. He performed hits such as “OMG,” “My Boo,” “Confessions Pt. 2,” and more. Furthermore, Usher even brought out special guests to perform, such as Alicia Keys, H.E.R, Usher, Lil Jon, and Jermaine Dupri. As a result, the game and Halftime Show also saw over 123 million viewers tune in, which was the most watched program in US television history.

Meanwhile, Usher’s streams have now seen an even more massive increase, following his Super Bowl performance. This was a 550% increase on Spotify. The Usher song with the biggest increase was “Caught Up,” at 2000%. That was also the first song that he performed, in the Halftime Show.

Prior to the Super Bowl, Usher also got married to his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea, on the day of the game. Two days prior, he also put out his first studio album, since 2016. This was “Coming Home,” which contained 20 new songs. This project was led by singles such as “Good Good” featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage, “Risk It All” featuring H.E.R., and “Ruin” featuring Pheelz.
