Usher’s “Coming Home” album debuts at number two in US

Last weekend, Usher delivered a phenomenal halftime show, at the Super Bowl. This was held inside Allegiant Stadium, in Las Vegas, which is home to the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders. Furthermore, Usher brought out additional music guests, such as Lil Jon, Ludacris, H..E.R., Alicia Keys, and Jermaine Dupri. The show also came after Usher got married to his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea, on that same day. She is the senior vice president of A&R at Epic Records.

In addition to Usher’ Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, he also put out his Coming Home” album, two days prior. That marked his first studio album since 2016, and his his first project since 2018. Therefore, fans were treated to 20 songs, including lead singles such as “Good Good” featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage and “Risk It All” featuring H.E.R. Furthermore, Usher also collaborated with Latto, Burna Boy Jung Kook, and more.

As a result, the first week sales for Usher’s Coming Home are very solid. According to Chart Data, it has just debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. This comes after selling 91,000 units. 45.82 million on-demand streams were also accumulated.

Late this summer, Usher’s Past Present Future” Tour will also begin. The opening dates kick off on August 20, in Washington, D.C. The tour will run until October 31, in Chicago.
