Last week, Meek Mill had social media on fire. This was due to lyrics of his on an upcoming collab he has with Lil Baby. A snippet was released on social media as some of the lyrics contained insensitive lyrics towards the late Kobe Bryant. It went as “This b**** I’m f***in’ always tell me that she love but she ain’t ever showed me. Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe.”
Meek has been catching plenty of heat on social media as no one was a fan of these lyrics. Now, Vanessa Bryant, the wife of Kobe, has just spoke out about the lyrics on her Instagram feed. She took to her Instagram stories to explain how she is not familiar with Meek’s music but if he’s a fan, he could’ve done a much better job with these lyrics.
“Dear @MeekMill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period. I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better than this. If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.”
Meek as of now hasn’t addressed Bryant’s comments yet. He may not be aware yet but this may definitely realize he was in the wrong here with the lyrics.
