Contending with the breakout popularity of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” due to such names as Lil’ Scrappy, Rasheeda, and Stevie J, the original “Love & Hip Hop” had a lot to live up to. More difficult was the show having to deal with the losses of Jim Jones, Chrissy Lampkin, Emily Bustamante, among others. Going into season three, the show needed an overhaul.
Filling the void on the original “Love & Hip Hop” was Tahiry Jose, Consequence, Jen the Pen, Joe Budden, and Raqi Thunda, among others. The new energy brought a different vibe to the series. Though he is only recurring, Joe Budden has stolen the show with his offbeat relationship with Tahiry Jose.
Last night, Joe Budden and Tahiry Jose took a backseat to Mendeecees. On last night’s episode, Mendeecees turned himself into police custody and had a moment with his son. In the recaps, both Joe Budden and Tahiry Jose also reconciled. Meanwhile, Rich Dollaz had to deal with the ongoing management situation with Olivia and Erica Mena.
