Victoria Monét’s “Jaguar II” wins Grammy for Best Non-Classical Engineered Album

Victoria Monét earns first Grammy win

Over the past year, Victoria Monét has soared into stardom, after grinding hard over the past decade. Last summer, she went on to release her debut studio album, “Jaguar II.” That project contained 11 songs, which was led by the smash hit, “On My Mama.” This record sampled Chalie Boy’s “I Look Good“. As a result, the album went on to see a number 60 peak in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. Additional collaborations on Jaguar II also included Earth, Wind, & Fire, Buju Banton, and Lucky Daye.

Mwanwhile, on Sunday, Victoria Monét also earned seven Grammy nominations. Early in the afternoon, Monét went on to score her first Grammy win. This was in the category of Best Non-Classical Engineered Album. Therefore, fans on social media went on to applaud this major milestone for her.

This past fall, Monét also went on to venture on her Jaguar II Tour. The first date of the tour kicked off on September 6, in Detroit. 22 dates went on to be available in total, as the tour concluded on November 15, in London. The initial announcement of the tour was an immediate success, as dates for the shows quickly sold out in minutes.
