A year and a half ago, Hip Hop Vibe asked if Diddy would save New York hip hop. During this period of time, Bad Boy Records had signed Machine Gun Kelly and Red Cafe found his long-awaited debut album pushed back. French Montana was a free agent, at the time, as was Fred the Godson. It turned out, Diddy’s plans were bigger than just New York, though Bad Boy is a force, again.

In Harlem, there is an increasing number of rising stars. Most of the attention has gone to major label star, A$AP Rocky. This, however, is due to his album being released last month. There are many other rising Harlem stars and Vinny Cha$e is among them. With his buzz picking up, there are labels expressing interest in signing him.

Recently, Vinny Cha$e took to his Twitter and made a post that gives reason for the world to believe he has signed with Bad Boy Records. Though Diddy has signed New York artists, he only has had one prominent Harlem artist in Mase. Now, it looks like Vinny Cha$e will be the next Harlem rapper to sign with Bad Boy Records.
