Waka Flocka Flame talks “Triple F Life” and retirement with Hip-Hop Wired

Back and bigger than ever, Waka Flocka Flame is on top of the rap game and is a little over a month away from finally releasing his sophomore album, Triple F Life. Last summer, Waka Flocka Flame released the lead single, “Round of Applause.” The song was well-received and Drake quickly remixed the song. Drake asked to be on the official remix and Waka Flocka Flame agreed, making it the official single.

Still buzzing off his 2010 debut, Waka Flocka Flame continued to remain relevant with the success of his single. As “Round of Applause” was beginning to leave radio rotation, Waka Flocka Flame delivered the second single from the new project. Waka Flocka Flame teamed up with curren R&B king, Trey Songz, for the second single, “I Don’t Really Care.” With all of the new music out, it is easy to forget there was once discussion of Waka Flocka Flame retiring.

Hip-Hop Wired recently caught up with Waka Flocka Flame, asking him about the collaborations on the new album. Waka Flocka Flame spoke on his collaborations with rumored flame, Nicki Minaj, Slim Thug, and Atlanta’s newest sensation, Future. Along with speaking about the collaborations on his new album, Waka Flocka Flame spoke on where he stands about retiring. Last summer, Waka Flocka Flame said he was tired of how fake the game had gotten, so he wanted to retire, which shocked many. During his recent interview, Waka Flocka Flame revealed he would no longer be retiring.
