Wale announces “The SHINE Tour,” which announces on May 5 in Atlanta (FULL TOUR DATES INCLUDED) [PHOTO]

Let’s not forget that Wale was one of the hottest rappers on the planet, a few years ago. In 2011, Wale emerged from the MMG promotion and relaunched his career in a big way. One of 2012’s first summer hits was the Wale single, “Sabotage,” assisted by Lloyd.

Commercially, Wale has struggled to find the same level of success, since then. But, 2013 did see him deliver “Clappers,” featuring Juicy J and Nicki Minaj. Even Wale acknowledges that he’s not as big of a star as he could be.

Before the end of 2016, Wale announced SHINE, his fifth studio album, which will be his planned biggest release. Some big changes have happened with Wale, from leaving Jay Z’s Roc Nation, to also becoming a father. Now, before SHINE is released, he has the tour coming, which launches on May 5, aka Cinco De Mayo.
