Success isn’t true success without some form of opposition, which Wale has dealt with more than most celebrities. Obviously, there is a market for his music, seeing how all of his songs do well on radio and television. But, fans continue to come after the Washington, DC emcee hard.
Wale is still basking in the success of his The Gifted album and the “Clappers” single with Juicy J and Nicki Minaj is doing well. Most people would be happy with this, as Wale seems to be. However, a couple of days ago, some fans decided they would try to rattle Wale a little bit.
A random fan recently DM-ed Wale and asked if he would quit making music if they could get 10,000 re-tweets. Laughing it off, Wale encouraged them to do their best, seeing how they only have 400 followers. Since then, their followers have increased to 700, but Wale jokingly said he would quit because they won’t even get 10 re-tweets, they are up to almost 6,000 re-tweets.
