Before going to prison, Meek Mill made some surprising tweets. He ended up calling out Wale, his longtime label-mate. There was a time when Wale and Meek Mill were inseparable, as the two both signed with the expanded Maybach Music at the same time.
Given his previous success, Wale was the first one given the spotlight, and he delivered some big records. However, Meek Mill ended up being the bigger star, as his mixtape success carried over. By 2015, Meek was involved with Nicki Minaj, and had his album coming.
With everyone else promoting his album, Meek Mill blasted Wale for not doing the same. While he didn’t say anything, Wale simply posted a photo of him with Drake on his Instagram. Their beef has only been mentioned, in passing, in the media, but Wale put all of this to rest on his social media, revealing he and Meek Mill are done beefing, and back to working.
