June 2013 is one of the best months hip hop has had in a long time. There is one more week left in June before it’s all over and there are more albums to be released. Next up from the June releases is Wale with his third studio album, The Gifted, which has been said to be a mix of everything.
As the album is set to hit stores, Wale has made himself a fixture with the media over the past few weeks. A lot of headlines were generated over the “Bad” single, which recently was remixed by Rihanna. Rumors suggested Wale and Rihanna were hooking up, but they were only together for the “Bad” remix.
Wale is the biggest rapper to emerge from Washington, DC and his hometown is proud of him. The Washington Post has given their support to Wale through their cover story on the Maybach Music emcee. “Wale Against the World” is the name of the feature and Wale also offered a quick freestyle video today.
