Wale responds to rumors of him quitting rap if fan gets 10,000 re-tweets
Three years ago, Wale signed with Maybach Music and things have not been the same for him. Previously, Wale was touted as one of the future stars of the rap game when he was signed by Interscope Records. However, Wale had issues with the marketing and moved on.
Wale did a solid job of rebranding himself and he has moved into the category of making songs for the ladies. Since 2011, Wale has done singles, such as “Lotus Flower Bomb” with Miguel, “Bad” with Tiara Thomas, “Sabotage” with Lloyd, and many others. Needless to say, Wale has some hits under his belt.
Over the weekend, there were Twitter DMs from a fan supposedly to Wale talking about his music. Despite the hits, apparently not everyone is a fan of his music and they asked if he would stop rapping if they got 10,000 re-tweets. In these messages, Wale sarcastically agreed to quit, but he recently confirmed it was a hoax and that his messages were photoshopped and not really from him.
