Wale talks Kendrick Lamar, the state of hip hop, and more with Jalen Rose [VIDEO]

Recently, Wale closed a major deal when he helped Fat Trel land his Maybach Music deal. This move was big for Washington, DC. In addition, it was a big move for the whole DMV area. Fat Trel is the second major DMV artist to get signed. Wale is the first artist to get a deal from the area, first landing with Interscope Records.

Since landing with Maybach Music, Wale has put out a string of hit records and is considered one of hip hop’s biggest names. Other figures in the game are well aware of this, as Kendrick Lamar called him out on “Control.” At first, Wale dismissed the shots on Twitter, but he later decided to address it.

Jalen Rose recently talked to Wale and they had a long conversation about various topics. The topic of Kendrick Lamar and “Control” is still hot, so they ended up addressing that situation and it led into the state of hip hop. Wale showed his stance on all of these topics.
