Wale talks “The Gifted,” Summer Jam, and Tiara Thomas with Hot 97 [VIDEO]

Summer is heating up, with a lot of albums due to drop next month. Last year, Wale played more of a background role within the team of Maybach Music. He returned to the forefront earlier this year with his “Bad” single. Featuring Tiara Thomas, the single has been a breakout hit.

Initially, it looked as if Wale would be releasing The Gifted on the same day as another major rapper. But, with Kanye West dropping in the middle of the month, Wale will be releasing his album on his own, as J. Cole pushed up. Meanwhile, “Bad” is still going strong on the radio.

Wale returned to New York City and he stopped by Hot 97. They asked him about his upcoming album, The Gifted and about how many times he has performed at Summer Jam. Tiara Thomas, Wale’s artist, came up in the conversation and he revealed she was no longer working with him.
