Walmart has banned violent video game ads, in the wake of shooting, but will continue to sell guns

On Saturday night, the unthinkable happened, when an El Paso Walmart wound up the scene of the worst act of random violence in the history of the United States. A gunman opened fire and killed 20 shoppers. An additional 26 people were injured from the shooting.

Physically, all of the other people may have no injuries, but these people will never think of shopping the same way, again. Nearly everyone agrees that something now has to be done. The gun control debate has also re-ignited.

Walmart has stepped forward, announcing they will no longer run advertisements for violent video games. That is a good thing, as some people could very well be motivated by video games. However, the giant retailer will continue to sell guns.
