Warren G talks 213 Reunion

It appears that the West Coast is making a comeback. First, Death Row Records was revived, then Snoop Dogg landed the major deal at Priority Records, then Dr. Dre and The Game reunited. Now, Warren G is announcing that a possible reunion of the group, 213, may be in the works.

Formed during their time at Death Row Records, 213 is a group that consisted of Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, and Warren G. They appeared on music with each other, albums from Snoop, Nate, and Warren and they did music with other artists. In 2004, they released their long-awaited The Hard Way album.

Since that time, fans of the group have been eager for a reunion. It just so happened that after the release of their debut album, Snoop Dogg’s career caught a second wind and Nate Dogg’s health began to decline. Warren G, on the other hand, took a break from music.

Recently, Warren G discussed the possibility of the three reuniting for a new album. Only months after releasing The G Files, Warren is definitely interested in recording another album alongside Snoop and Nate Dogg. He also said that Nate was healthy and interested in doing the album.

According to Warren G, the hold up is Snoop Dogg. When talking about the possibility of recording another 213 album, Warren said that it is all in Snoop Dogg’s hands. While he may want to record an album, Snoop is an executive for Priority Records, aside from being a rapper, so this may take some time.

More news on this possible album may come.
