During the height of the West Coast’s G-funk era, Warren G emerged alongside his rhyming partners, Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg. Together, they were known as 213 and they held it down from the early 1990s until Nate Dogg’s early 2011 death. As a solo artist, Warren G posted a major hit with “Regulate.”
Since then, Warren G has scored a few moderate hits and he is considered a legend by most people who follow the culture. As Warren G moved into this category, newer guys like Gunplay have come up. Most already know, Gunplay is holding the game down, representing Miami.
Last night, Warren G made a tweet that might get people thinking. A lot of collaborations are initially set up on Twitter and this is where Warren G went to set his up. Via Twitter, Warren G let it be known he would love to get some studio time in with Gunplay, as he is preparing to drop his debut album in 2014.
