Back in the summer of 2005, Webbie put Baton Rouge and Trill Entertainment on the map with his “Gimme That” single. Out the gate, Webbie released his Savage Life album, which became a big success in the year of 2005. Webbie has stuck around the game in the years since then, but has not been able to recapture that fire.
Instead of doing a one-off, Webbie decided he would turn Savage Life into a series and he scored the hit of his career with “Independent” with Lil’ Boosie and Lil Phat. Since then, Webbie has not posted major radio hits. The streets still back him and that’s enough for artists doing it the right way.
Webbie has out the “What I Do” single and he has started the promotion for his upcoming album. Already, Webbie has said Savage Life 4 will drop on November 19, but he does not have a cover. This changed this morning when Webbie released the cover on Instagram.
