Even in this current era, which is supposed to be progressive, there are some old school ideologies that are dominant. A video has gone viral showing a couple walking their dog. The couple is a mixed race couple, which should not be a problem in 2023. However, for one man this was a huge problem, and he let them know it.
In this era of information and technology, a lot of things have gone backwards. While the idea, itself, is progressive, things have gone differently in practice. The digital space has allowed everyone to have a platform. In turn, people have become members of groups where they best identify. As a result, people are more divided than ever before. This makes them unwilling to accept opposing view points.
All over the media, in all realms, are messages about “love is love.” However, when it’s put to the test, people have a problem with it. Recently, a mixed race couple was walking their dog in their own neighborhood. Something this small shouldn’t be a store. However, one man made it into one. Apparently, he had an issue with this love, so he hurled profanity and insults at a couple who was just walking their dog.
