White man shocks Chinese man in restaurant by speaking Chinese
In the overall push for diversity, people are learning about other cultures. While there are often reports about disrespect, there are also people who are enjoying learning new things. Sometimes people go over and beyond what’s expected. An example is this man, who happens to be White, in a Chinese restaurant, ordering his food. The man decided to be creative and place his order in Chinese. This left his waiter, who happens to be a Chinese man, confused.
What’s overlooked is that diversity is what America is. People have heritages that span every continent in the world. For this reason, everyone is considered to be American, even if everyone isn’t fully treated equally. There are people of various races and nationalities that do not speak their native language. Even more of these people know very little of their native heritage. From this video clip, it’s impossible to detail what this Chinese man knows, or doesn’t know.
One man decided to be creative, when eating at a Chinese restaurant. With his waiter also being Chinese, the man, who happens to be White, decided to order his meal in Chinese. The assumption is that the waiter spoke the language. Perhaps the man does know the language, but he was definitely caught off guard by the situation. When the man placed his order in Chinese, he left his waiter in a state of total confusion.
