White NYC news anchor fired for calling Black co-host racial slur

In New York City, Ken Rosato and Shirleen Allicot have become quite the dynamic duo. Since 2007, Rosato has been co-anchoring on ABC7 with Allicot. However, all of that has come to an abrupt end. On camera, it seems like the two are the best of friends. Off camera, however, appears to be a different story. According to reports, Rosato called Allicot a cruel racial slur, not that one. Regardless, Ken Rosato got fired over it. However, his agent denies he said anything like this.

Unfortunately, during this current day and age, people often disrespect others. There is so much division and race isn’t the only thing being used to divide people. People are also being divided by class, gender, skill sets, fandom, and many other things. As a result, people are more connected than ever, by so many ways, and they use these freedoms to hurt others. Ironically, most people are guilty of being a cyberbully, at one time or another.

With Ken Rosato and Shirleen Allicot, the two have been co-hosts for nearly two decades. However, reports have accused Rosato of calling Allicot a racial slur. Of course, Ken Rosato’s agent is denying these accusations. Despite the denials, Rosato has been relieved of his duties. ABC7 has not publicly addressed his firing. However, they have removed him from all of their social media posts. In turn, Rosato has not posted since May 2.
