White woman steals a citibike from a group of Black teens
When they say nowhere is safe, they mean situations such as these. A group of teens in Bellevue, Washington were riding on citibikes to get around the city. When they were in front of a hospital, one of the boys rented his own bike. As he did so, a woman who worked at the hospital tried to steal the bike. When the boys resisted, the woman began to scream as if she was being harmed. After that, a White male physician approached and made the boys give her the bike, without asking questions.
While the woman succeeded in stealing the bike, she was unaware she was recorded. As a result, she assumed she was getting away with what she did. However, once she realized she was being recorded, she made an attempt to hide her bade. After all, if her name was exposed, she could be in grave danger of losing her job. What she did is bad enough, however the job she has makes her actions downright scary.
In today’s time, people are doing all kinds of horrible things. Despite this, people feel as though there should be no consequences for it. When they get called out, they’re upset because they are being punished for their wrongdoing. This scenario saw a grown woman steal from a child and then use her influence to get the child in trouble. As a result, people on social media are calling on the hospital to fire her.
