What should have been the saddest news of the year was just one of many with the Alton Sterling shooting. After his shocking murder, which took place on camera, several other officers took innocent black lives. Since then, racial tensions have been very high.

It seems as if these murders were in response to Jesse Williams’ moving speech during the BET Awards. The day after he made those comments, the latest string of murders began. All speculation aside, Alton Sterling was laid to rest, this afternoon.

Just as Black people have explained that Black Lives Matter doesn’t mean “Only” Black Lives Matter, White people have shown that they are not evil. A major show of this was the woman photoed above who paid tribute to Alton Sterling. The photo was found over on Fameolous’ Twitter page.
