It’s been fifteen years since Ja Rule first popped up on Jay-Z’s “Can I Get A…” single and twenty years since he first picked up the mic. In this period of time, Ja Rule has had higher than high highs and lower than low lows. Ja Rule literally represents what to do right and wrong as a hip hop artist.
The definite mistakes were bringing Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Busta Rhymes into his longstanding beef with 50 Cent. Before this, Dr. Dre had even rapped on a Irv Gotti beat, the “Watch Me” track from Jay-Z’s Life and Times of S. Carter album. In any event, it happened and Ja Rule has continued getting into scrapes.
New and improved since he’s been out of prison, Ja Rule promised he would stay away from the controversy. But, Ja Rule has a notorious quick temper and it got the best of him during a recent interview. While he was in Africa, Ja Rule got into a tense conversation with a journalist over the hood.
