The “No More Drama” Grammy Award-winning legendary singer/songwriter, Mary J. Blige, has surprised the fans with a classy wine to sip this summer. The singer teamed up with the Fantinel Winery as she brings a new line of wines that includes a Rosé and Italian Sauvignon Blanc. The Sun Goddess Wines is an exclusive collection of limited-edition wines that feature bold, crisp, and rich flavors.
“After walking through the vineyards and tasting with the Fantinel family, I felt extremely connected to the place, and more importantly, the people,”
Mary J. shares in a statement with Travel + Leisure.
“I felt the same magical energy I have long tried to capture from the sun and knew this was an incredible opportunity to partner with someone who shared that same passion and together we could try to create something that evoked that feeling.”
The Sun Goddess Collection wines are available in stores nationwide come August 2020, but until then orders are able to be made online. This is what the diva had to say about the name:
“The name Sun Goddess evokes powerful childhood memories that I carry with me today. I’ve always loved the sun, and as a child I always tried to capture the sun’s warmth and energy. It was magical to me, and it’s with that spirit, that my mom began calling me “Sun Goddess. The name immediately struck me as the perfect name as it connects my real life, conveys the connection between nature, and the personality of wines I enjoy the most, combined with my style and that of Fantinel..”
