The 2009-2010 period saw a ton of new artists emerge and many of them are still relevant, now. This makes that moment a realigning time period in hip hop, as it produced Drake, J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, Wale, and of course, Wiz Khalifa.
When it comes to the latter two, the past three years have seen them begin to fade. In the case of Wiz Khalifa, he hopes going back to the future can change things. Currently, he is working on Rolling Papers 2, the sequel to his 2011 major label debut.
Wiz Khalifa recently stopped by Shade 45, sitting down with Sway, for “Sway In The Morning.” The two, along with Heather B, and the rest of the crew, sat down for an interview. Their conversation included weed trivia and martial arts, before he spoke on his music and the Rolling Papers 2 album.
