Those who know Wiz Khalifa from the beginning know why he is such a big name in hip hop. Dude put in serious work leading up to 2010-2011 and is a legend in the weed circle. The breakthrough mixtape that got the big looks for Wiz Khalifa was Kush & Orange Juice.
Wiz Khalifa dropped Kush & Orange Juice exactly five years ago, today. A lot has changed for him since the release of this mixtape. There was a child, a marriage, and a divorce that Wiz Khalifa endured and celebrated since his mixtape release.
Celebrating five years, Wiz Khalifa sat down with MTV to discuss the fifth anniversary of the mixtape. Wiz Khalifa talked about the atmosphere when he was working on Kush & Orange Juice, which he said was his classic. Motivated by Jay Z, Nas, and Biggie, Wiz Khalifa said he filled a void with his tape and he’s proud fans view it as his classic release.
