Woman says her son was fatally shot minutes after going outside
In Atlanta, a mother is grieving the loss of her young son. It all started like a regular day. She and her son were inside of their home. Minutes later, the nine year old boy told his mother he was going outside to play. Apparently, the plan was for him to go outside with some friends and play. In addition, the kids planned to go swimming. However, not even five minutes after the boy went outside, the mother received a knock on her door. She was told her son was shot. After that, he passed away.
The last thing anyone expects is to bury their own child. This is especially true when the child is not even ten years old. Given how fast this situation played out, the mother is in total disbelief. After all, he was barely even outside and within her reach. However, it was that small window of time that was enough for her to lose her child. As a result, this mother is preparing for a funeral, instead of preparing for her son’s summer vacation.
Joy Black is the mother of the nine year old child, whose name was King Black. Their day was like any other, before he decided to go outside. The little boy told his mother he was going outside to play with some friends. After she gave him permission, Ms. Black said her son told her “I love you.” A few minutes later, her son was shot. Not long after, he lost his life. As a result, the “I love you” from King ended up being the last words her son ever told her.
