In Chicago, there is always some kind of gun violence going on. A lot of people lose their lives for nothing and sometimes it’s just due to being at the wrong place at the wrong time. But, Sircie Varnado lost her life for even less, over the weekend.

Sircie Varnado is a Chicago native and she was at a local Walgreens, over the weekend. While shopping, Varnado was accused of stealing some feminine products. This led to the police getting involved and a random man stepping in and shooting her.

Note that Sircie Varnado was only ACCUSED of shoplifting, but was harassed by the police, and shot by a civilian. The man shot Varnado in the face, leading to her being rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Now, there is a family left to mourn, demanding why this happened, even if she did steal.

There were many ways to apprehend her, without killing her, and the police say they are in contact with her killer, who remains free. Those familiar with the Walgreens say he was considered an “unofficial security guard” for the store, and he had a valid FOID card, plus a concealed carry license. But, none of this makes what happened right, as a family has lost a mother, daughter, sister, and aunt.
