Violence has overtaken the world, there is both war and street violence. In America, the richest country in the world, hundreds of people are dying daily in Chicago. All over the world, people are dying for no reason. Meanwhile, lyrics about shooting people remain dominant in hip hop.
Wyclef Jean always had thought outside of the box and he is trying his best to come to the rescue this time around. There is a lot of lyrics about carrying gats, so on and so forth. In response to this, Wyclef Jean has introduced the “gattar,” a former gun turned into a guitar.
Some see it as more violence being promoted, but this is not the case. Exactly the opposite is the case. Wyclef Jean decided to turn the weapons into music, as music is a weapon. Recently, Wyclef Jean sat down and he spoke in-depth about the “gattar” and the new movement he is putting together.
