This year, there were plenty of breakout artists, and each one had a different impact on the game. All of them are hard to overlook, none more than XXXTentacion. He began the year unknown on the mainstream level, but he changed that by picking a fight with Drake.

Ultimately, XXXTentacion didn’t need to go at Drake in order to gain fame. Soon, there were many major figures giving him co-signs, and crediting him as the leader of the new school. Last week, it looked like he capped his success off with a major deal.

XXXTentacion was all over the headlines, as it appeared as if he signed a $6 million deal with Capitol Records. However, days after the announcement, X revealed he wanted off the label, claiming he was never signed. Now, he is saying he’s done releasing any new music, as a whole.
