Yandy Smith joined the flagship “Love & Hip Hop,” during season two. Originally, Yandy was portrayed as if she was Jim Jones’ assistant. As a result, Yandy and Jim Jones spent a lot of time together. With that being said, Yandy and Jim’s girlfriend, Chrissy Lampkin, often got into clashes.
Yandy Smith took on a bigger role within the show, starting with season three. Much of the original cast left, making Yandy the star of the show. From then on, Yandy’s actual business acumen was presented. It turns out, Yandy is no one’s assistant, and is actually the head of several companies.
Yandy Smith has always been a boss, but her relationship with Mendeecees has always been something people questioned. First, Mendeecees has an aggressive attitude, despite all Yandy has done for him. Second, Mendeecees spent the better part of a decade going in and out of prison. Third, Yandy actively raised his other children. Finally, Yandy also dealt with his overbearing mother. When Yandy married Mendeecees, it turns out she didn’t actually marry him. Now, Yandy shared a video where she tried to tell people she is no longer with Mendeecees. A man who is apparently her new boyfriend kept overtalking her, in the background, announcing who he is.
