Yaya Mayweather gets probation in 2020 stabbing case
A verdict has finally come down, in Yaya Mayweather’s case of stabbing one of NBA Youngboy’s baby mamas, 35-year-old Lapatrra Jacobs, back in April 2020. Yaya was 19, at the time of the incident. This was inside Youngboy’s Houston home, as Yaya and Lapattra got into an argument. Yaya wanted her to leave, and that’s when things turned physical, and two knives were drawn.
Lapattra went on to be treated at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and underwent surgery. At the time, Yaya was charged with aggravated assault.
Yaya was initially facing 99 years in prison, but that soon became far-fetched. This is due to her having a clean record, and plenty of money to take care of legal finances, due to Floyd Mayweather being her father.
However, According to KPRC 2, Yaya is only receiving six months of probation, in this case. This comes after she entered a guilty plea, and received Deferred Adjudication of Guilt.
Yaya eventually went on to have Youngboy’s child, at the top of 2021. However, around that time, they also split. Youngboy has since had several more children with Jazlyn Mychelle. Currently, the Louisiana rapper shockingly has 11 children in total, at the age of 23.
