Resourceful artists know how to work themselves out of a jam without the reliance of someone backing them. Long before he was a prominent member of Shady 2.0, Yelawolf was one of Alabama’s biggest mixtape rappers. The buzz became insurmountable, leading to him signing with Eminem’s label.
Yelawolf inked his deal in 2011 and had an album out before the end of the year. In the closing months of 2011, Yelawolf released Radioactive. Immediately, Yelawolf began working on his next album, Love Story. With every intention of releasing his album before 2012, but Shady Records did not agree to it.
There have been rumors floating around about Yelawolf’s Shady status and while the people have talked, Yela has worked. Trunk Muzik Returns is Yelawolf’s free album set to be released before his official sophomore album comes. Yelawolf released the album cover and track listing earlier today.
