Yes Rih: Rihanna ultimately wins Twitter over with closing #VMAs performance #RiRiVanguard
Time really flies, as Rihanna has consistently delivered good music for the past eleven years. Outside of her 2012-2016 hiatus, Rihanna has always come strong. With her current run, she has more than made up for the hiatus.
Rihanna was signed to Def Jam by Jay Z in 2005 and immediately began making hits. Her early hits came alongside Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, and Jay Z, among others. But, later years saw her and Drake unite for memorable singles.
Many questioned why Rihanna performed more than Beyonce and won the Vanguard Award over her. In the end, Rihanna showed them, as she performed the closing of the show, amazingly, shared a steamy kiss with Drake, and repped for The Barbados and for black women across the world. Twitter was definitely in love with all of it and has “Yes Rih” trending.
