YFN Lucci Denied Bond By a Judge in Atlanta, As He Remains Incarcerated, Due To Ongoing Murder and Gang Racketeering Cases

2021 has been a very tough year for YFN Lucci. In early January, he was hit with charges of felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. This was regarding the murder of 28-year-old James Adams, in southwest Atlanta, in December 2020. Lucci was said to be the driver during a shootout with a rival gang. Adams was allegedly n the car with Lucci and his crew. As Adams got shot in the head, Lucci supposedly dumped Adams’ body out the car.

Last month, Lucci was also hit with a 75-page, 105 count indictment, for gang-related racketeering charges. 11 other men were involved as well. This ended up resulting in Lucci’s privilege of being out on $500,000 bond revoked, as he turned himself in.

Lucci also appeared in court on Tuesday in front of Fulton County superior court judge, Thomas Cox. This is where he was denied bond and sent back to Fulton County Jail, according to WSB-TV 2. Cox said “The defendant will remain in a no-bond status at this time. Additionally, this court revokes any bonds previously issued in this case.”

Lucci’s attorney, Drew Findling, vouched for him in court, too. He cited how successful he’s been as a rapper over the years.

“My client is, your honor, an incredibly successful artist that is very well known nationally and even internationally.”

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, also told WSB-TV’s Mark Winne, that prosecutors are also using a music video that Lucci was in, as evidence against him in the racketeering case. At this point, it’s safe to say that Lucci will remain incarcerated until at least his trial date, whenever that is announced.

“We think it sends of very strong message to the public that no matter who you are, you have to follow the law and the rules, and you will be evaluated the same,” Willis explained.
