YFN Lucci leaving prison after 3.5 months due to guilty plea

YFN Lucci has been incarcerated since the spring of 2021, due to a murder case in Atlanta that he was involved in, in December 2020. At the time, the buzzing Atlanta rapper is said to have drove a car that was in the middle of a shootout with a rival gang, and tossed the body of his own associate, James Adams, who was hit in the gunfire. Lucci was out on bond, but had to turn himself in, in April 2021, due to violating bond, after visiting a strip club.

Meanwhile, many anticipated that Lucci would get over 20 years in this case. However, on Tuesday, things appeared to shift in his favor. According to TMZ, Lucco pleaded guilty to one count of violating the street gang terrorism and prevention act, as prosecutors dropped 12 out of the 13 counts, and Lucci avoided going to trial.

Moreover, this plea deal includes a 10-year sentence, as well as 10 years probation. However, Lucci is receiving credit for time served. This comes after already serving 36 out of the 40 months he would’ve been eligible for parole in. As a result of already serving 1/3 of his sentence, he will now be released in 3.5 months and serve the rest of his sentence on probation, per reporter Michael Seiden of WSB-TV 2.
