YG announces “My Hitta” platinum status on Instagram [PHOTO]

Last summer, YG and Jeezy had a solid run of hit tracks they put out. Late in the summer, YG dropped his own single, “My Hitta,” with Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan. Recently, the official remix came out with Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj, keeping YG’s run going.

My Krazy Life is YG’s debut album and it’s due on March 18. The momentum is high for YG, as he goes into his first major label album. YG’s success is just the latest in a long line of West Coast artists who are rising to mainstream fame and success in the rap game.

This success got a little bigger this morning, when YG posted a photo on Instagram with a special message. Given all the attention it has received, “My Hitta” has finally gotten certified platinum. Officially, YG has sold over 1 million copies off that single and the remix is currently riding high.
