A mother and son duo gives a memorable performance for the world to see. Recently, YG Marley performed on Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show”, bringing along a special guest. During his performance YG Marley brings out his mother Lauryn Hill, which took social media by surprise. Lauryn, opened for her son, singing one of her biggest hits while YG followed up with one of this year’s biggest hits.
YG Marley continues to follow in his legendary family’s footsteps. As the son of Lauryn Hill and grandson to the iconic Bob Marley, music is second nature to the rising star. Although he has been singing and rapping since childhood, 2023 became YG’s breakout year. His single “Praise Jah In The Morning”, is a Billboard hit, topping the charts throughout the U.S. That single was also featured in the Bob Marley biographical drama One Love. In January, it was confirmed YG will headline the 2024 Coachella music festival.
Despite all of his recent success, he isn’t slowing down on performing with his mother anytime soon. Before the Tonight Show, the duo performed together multiple times throughout 2023. Lauryn Hill opened up the show performing her classic hit “Ex-Factor”. YG Marley joined along with his mother before before performing his new single “Survival”.
