This year, Memphis has had a strong resurgence and a lot of this credit goes to Juicy J and Yo Gotti. Both have risen from the mixtape game to dominate the mainstream, with the industry embracing them. There are also many other Memphis artists holding it down on the mixtape scene.
Memphis had yet another big day with Yo Gotti releasing his I Am album today. One of the biggest stories about Yo Gotti over the past few days was his Saturday tweet about Juicy J. His tweet went along the lines of saying Juicy J was hiding from him for whatever reason.
MTV News had the opportunity to talk to Yo Gotti and I Am was one of the main reasons they spoke. However, in the current clip out, Yo Gotti spoke about the situation with Juicy J. Despite what was said on Twitter, Yo Gotti said he does not have any beef with Juicy J.
