Yo Gotti speaks on man who threatened to kill himself and Birthday Bash concert attendees, in Memphis

Yo Gotti speaks on threat against Birthday Bash attendees by man

On Friday night, Yo Gotti held his annual Birthday Bash concert, in his hometown of Memphis. This went down at the FedEx Forum again, which is home to the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies. Moneybagg Yo, Lil Uzi Vert and more performed.

Hours after Birthday Bash though, a man caused panic, outside of FedEx Forum. 28-year-old Elijah Hyman threatened to kill himself, as well as attendees who attended the concert. This was reportedly due to a breakup that he just went through, with his girlfriend.

Memphis police added that Hyman went on to be charged with Commission of the Act of Terrorism. Gotti has also since spoken on the incident, as he thanked Memphis police for their assistance and the fans and artists who came through to Birthday Bash.

“Thank you to the fans, artists and everyone involved behind the scenes for making Birthday Bash a smooth, secure and successful event. We were informed of a potential threat regarding an individual seeking to harm attendees leaving Birthday Bash that occurred 3 hours after our show ended. I would also like to thank the Memphis Police Department for their swift and proactive action in ensuring that all attendees returned home safely.”
