On Saturday night, Yo Gotti lost one of his closest relatives. According to TMZ, this was Anthony ‘Big Jook’ Mims, as he was shot and killed after attending a funeral in their hometown of Memphis. Moreover, this location is said to have occurred near Winchester Road.

Furthermore, photos and videos went on to surface online that displayed Jook bleeding on the ground, with people attempting to treat his injuries. It’s also still unclear who targeted Mims, as well as the motive for the shooting. Mims had been very involved in Gotti’s CMG record label, as he appeared in various music videos, and also promoted the artists. Mims posted in his Instagram stories earlier in the day, as he revealed that this funeral was for his late uncle.

As of now, Gotti has yet to speak on this tragic murder. He and his CMG label finished 2023 strong, as they ventured on their Gangsta Art Tour. This came after they put out their “Gangsta Art 2” compilation album, in September. This featured all of the label’s artists, such as GloRilla, Mozzy, Blac Youngsta, Moneybagg Yo, and more.
